Well, while ACC (the Accident Compensation Corporation) does cover many injuries, it’s not the all-encompassing safety net you might hope for.

ACC is great at covering the costs of treatment and rehabilitation, as well as up to 80% of your pay. This will not completely replace your take home income. This may have a significant financial impact on your family and lifestyle. That’s where a specific injury cover comes in.

Imagine this: you take a tumble while chasing that elusive goal, and suddenly you’re out of commission. ACC will help with the medical bills and part of your wages but it won’t replace your lost income fully or provide a financial cushion during your recovery.

That’s where specific injury cover shines. With this insurance, you’ll receive a lump sum payout if you suffer a covered injury. This means you can focus on healing rather than stressing over finances.

Our initial advice is always free if you take out a cover with us or not.
If you decide to go ahead with an insurance cover and then cancel it within a 24 month period, we would consider this an early cancellation and on-charge you for the time we spend setting your initial cover in place. This would exclude financial hardship.
Otherwise you will never pay us anything directly. It doesn't matter how many meetings or conversations we need to have to get your policies in place and how many follow-up calls or questions you ask!
